Rose Arts Studio

I have been creative all my life, winning a United Nations art award at 14 before studying Design at Milton Keynes College of Education and later teaching art in schools across Essex and Leicestershire. My work explores texture, abstraction, and mixed media, often inspired by natural forms such as bark, soil, clay, and charcoal, using techniques like frottage, sgraffito, and layering. Over the years I’ve created mosaics, altered books, art journals, embroidery pieces, and a series of angel paintings influenced by my interest in spirituality. Now retired, I continue to experiment with watercolour, acrylic, oils, pastels, and mixed media, developing projects that bring together my lifelong passion for creativity, texture, and expression.
